what the heck is risograph printing?

The Risograph is a japanese printer invented in the 80’s. It works a bit like screen printing, building an image one colour at a time.

Each print is made with soy-based inks, a rice paper stencil, and no heat - making it super environmentally friendly!

The result is bright colours, grainy textures, unexpected overlaps and tiny misalignments that make every print feel a little bit unique.
It’s a tactile process that makes the most of happy accidents.
